Getting to the Air & Space Show

The event site for the Air & Space Show is located on the SOUTH SIDE of the airfield in 2019, the opposite side of the airfield from past years. Access to the roads between NASA Blvd and the Airport perimeter fence on the South side of the airport will be restricted for security reasons.

Heavy traffic is expected and it is important to follow the directions below for getting to the air show.  These directions will lead you to air show parking lots.  Although handicapped parking will be available in both Preferred and General parking lots it is HIGHLY recommended that anyone needing accessible parking purchase a Preferred Parking lot pass to expedite entry into the parking ares and into the show.  NASA Blvd will have heavy traffic and Golf cart shuttle from the General lot will be extremely limited and long wait times should be expected.

Directions
From the West via I-95 take Exit 180 (US 192/New Haven Ave). Go east on 192/New Haven Ave to Airport Road. Make a left on Airport Road then follow signs for Air Show parking.

From the South via US 1/Harbor City Blvd make a left on Hibiscus Blvd. Make a right on Airport Blvd then follow signs for Air Show parking.

From the North via US 1/Harbor City Blvd make a right on Hibiscus Blvd. Make a right on Airport Blvd then follow signs for Air Show parking.

Pre-paid general parking is on sale now at a discount of the on-site price.  Preferred parking next to the main entrance is also available for a few dollars more.  Flight Line Club VIP tickets include complimentary parking in the ‘VIP Lot’ located on Tower Road near a special VIP entrance away from the main gate.

The interactive Google Map above provides detailed information on directions to parking, main entrance location and restricted areas. Click on the upper right icon to bring the map full screen and display more information and get directions to the event.

  1. Stacey A Evans says:

Have a flight out of MLB at 1 on sunday the 31st. How do I get to the airport? Will the air show cause a disruption?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Stacey, the show should cause no disruptions at all to your flight – all flights are still running the same out of MLB. However, we do recommend planning to get to the airport a little early, in case you do come across traffic due to the Air Show.

  2. Carol says:

We’ll be staying at Residence Inn on Babcock. Is there a walkable sidewalk from that Hotel to the entrance on Nasa Blvd for the air show?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Vicki, yes, you should be fine – the parking attendants will direct you to a location in the parking lot suitable for an RV.

  3. Ken W says:

Are the directions to park the same for Preferred parking and general parking? Or is there a another way to get to the Preferred parking lot?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Ken, yes, the map is still the same, however, you will be parked in a separate lot. There should be a map on your preferred parking pass.

  4. thepauldog says:

Hi Laney, get you get the same view of the show from the north side and avoid all the hassles that the Airport Blvd entrance provides?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Paul, no, there is no viewing on the North side. All guests need to arrive and come in via the pre-assigned map. Brevard County Sheriff and City of Melbourne police will be patrolling the area, as not cars are going to be allowed access to the north side of the airport.

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Phil, did you receive your VIP parking pass? It should have a map attached showing you where to go! If you haven’t received that via email, please call our box office at 877-301-8499. Thanks so much for being our guest!

    • Laney Poye says:

It is named the Orlando-Melbourne International Airport because of its service to the greater central Florida area. The directions for getting to the show in Melbourne, FL are here on our “Getting There” page.

  5. Marco says:

Arriving from 192 your instructions are to turn left on Airport Road – google map calls it Airport BLVD when intersecting US 192….is that the one intended? Airport Road is somewhere else not intersecting US 192.

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Marco, yes, the road name is Airport Blvd, which actually turns into Airport Road further north (past NASA Blvd). Good catch, but it is all the same road! 🙂

  6. Jack Duich 561-543-9151 says:

I will have passes to a corporate VIP tent. May I bring my RV to the parking lot on Friday (or Saturday) evening and spend the evening in my RV?
    Thank you

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Jack, no, you are not able to park overnight in the parking lot with your RV. You may want to search for local nearby campgrounds that would be appropriate locations for your RV.

    • Laney Poye says:

General admission parking will be sold separately closer to the date of the show. Parking is included for Flight Line Club guests.

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Kemley, what activities are you interested in? Our Air and Space Show has a number of static displays, as well as live aerial performances. We also have a kids’ area and opportunities to engage at local events with the pilots.

  7. Bernie says:

I understand we cannot leave the venue once entered, but can we still access our cars if necessary and walk back into the show?

  8. David Keane says:

I got the email about the new dates and was able to download my Flight Line Clubhouse tickets.
However, there was no parking pass to print like last year.
How do I get my parking pass?

    Thank you.

    • Air & Space Show says:

You’ll have to reach out the FBO which you will be parking your aircraft for TFR and NOTAM info.

  9. Rumiko Bodenheimer says:

My son is getting sworn into the Air Force on Saturday at the air show. What time will that take place?

  10. marc francisco says:

yesb im trying to figure . out how to get my new tickets. I have never reseved . an email for them . and I cant get any one from your office . to call me back . and im getting really mad over this.

    • Air & Space Show says:

Marc, I apologize for the disconnect. We’ve tried calling you several times at the number from your voicemail with no luck. An email was sent when the date was changed on 1/26 about the date change and your new tickets were sent on 1/29. These could have possibly been directed to your spam/junk folder. If you did not receive them, you can call our box office at 877.877.7677 to have them resent or you can log into your ticketing account to download your tickets again.
