  1. Chad says:

Is the tent area close to the PIt or will I have to bring an additional chair? Can you bring your own chair?
Can we bring a cart to help carry a chair and equipment to event?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Chad, you’ll be given chairs in the photo pit, but you can absolutely bring an extra chair if you wanted, and cart in to roll your equipment in. Backpacks are also fine, but all will be subject to search at the gate.

  2. JP says:

I purchased a photo pit pass which includes VIP Parking. Will I be able to go back and forth to my car during the day? Don’t want to carry everything around during the morning before the actual airshow.

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey JP, unfortunately no, there is no coming and going from airport grounds due to security issues. You are absolutely allowed to bring a backpack or rolling bag to carry your equipment with you through the gate and have on site in the Photo Pit. Please see our FAQ page for items that are or aren’t allowed.

  3. Susan Berry says:

I purchased a Photo Pit ticket. It references a special place on the website called Eyes Only for purchasers of the ticket. Where would I find that page?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Susan – the eyes only code is on the top of your ticket, and then you just go to the Saturday or Sunday sequence page and type it into the password box. It lets you check out cool information just for you as our way of saying thanks!!

  4. Larry says:

The photo pit parking is in the restricted area of the airshow venue. What route do we need to take to get to the VIP parking area on Harry Goode Way? Will there be people directing us to the correct parking area?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Larry, the instructions for parking are included on your Photo Pass ticket, and you should also have received an email sometime yesterday with further details (Pop us an email at info@air.show if you didn’t get it). There will be lots of parking attendants throughout the area to help direct you where to go, and all you need to do is show them your ticket!

    • Laney Poye says:

Hi Lorri, the air show runs from noon to four pm, and is out on an active air field, so there is no shade. That being said, we have adjusted the location of the air show to help optimize the Photo Pit area for our photography connoisseurs.

  5. Lucia Kirk says:

What time starts the show and what time it ends? Thank you in advance.

No, this is the first time I send an email.

    • Laney Poye says:

No military discounts. We do discounts for all ticket purchasers across the board. Our Early Bird price ends today (2/18) at midnight ET.

  6. Kym Kurey says:

I’d like to have my 6 year old grandson with me part of the time while shooting the show. Is there an age minimum in the pit, and if not, are kids the same price?

    • Laney Poye says:

Hey Kym, yes, kids are the same price for the photo pit. However, 6 and under are admitted for free into the general admission areas, so you could always spend time with him out in the main concourse area to check out the static displays, then have yourself just return to the photo pit area. He would need to have a photo pit ticket to be admitted there.

    • Laney Poye says:

Yes, Photo Pit passholders are able to come and go from the Photo Pit area and go into the general concourse area. However, only those with proper credentials are allowed back into the Photo Pit area, so no general admission people will be allowed in.

    • Laney Poye says:

Please email us at info@air.show. Generally, yes, we do allow a small cooler with snacks as an exception to our general “no outside food” policy with a doctor’s note stating the nature of the food sensitivity (i.e. Celiac’s, allergies, etc.).

  7. Tina says:

I was there last year and am thrilled to be back in the PIT again this year. When I saw you added water and tented area that made me that much more excited! Looking forward to Saturday!

  8. Mark Pollio says:

It appears the photo area is north of the East-West runway. With the sun south of the runway almost the entire day – most photos will be taken looking into the sun – making for very poor conditions. Is there any chance of a photo pit on the south side of the runway?

    • Air & Space Show says:

Mark- you are correct, the photo pit is indeed on the North side of the airport. Reason being is because of the aerobatic box, which must remain sterile at all times. This will be the 5th year we have had a Photo Pit in this exact same position and those inside of it always seem to capture amazing photos. I am sure you will get some great shots from the Photo Pit too!

  9. Col (R) Nathan Thomas says:

Great. As a combat photographer I would love to get 3 passes for the photo pit show. Please let me know when and where I should send the check for the event.

  10. Debbie says:

    Good Morning,
If we just want to be that close, not really taking pics can we still purchase the photo pit pass??
